Greeting Card Puzzles

A greeting card and a puzzle in one envelope. The recipient assembles 12 pieces to read your message, which turns a 5-second card into a 10-minute activity. Especially good for grandparents mailing to grandkids.

Cards That Have to Be Solved Before You Can Read Them

A regular greeting card gets read once and tossed.

A greeting card puzzle gets opened, sorted into 12 pieces, assembled, and only then reveals what's written on the back. The recipient does the work to read your message, which is part of the gift.

Kids especially love receiving these. Birthday cards become a 10-minute activity instead of a 5-second read. Grandparents send them to grandkids in the mail and get a phone call back about how cool the card was.

How a Greeting Card Puzzle Works

The format is purpose-built for mailing.

Each puzzle arrives pre-assembled in the package. The sender writes a message on the back of the assembled puzzle, then breaks it apart into the 12 pieces, drops the pieces into the included color-coordinated envelope, seals it with the included sticker, and mails it.

The recipient opens the envelope, finds 12 puzzle pieces (and a postcard image showing what the finished puzzle looks like), assembles the puzzle, flips it over, and reads the message.

For ages 3 and up, the assembly takes 5 to 15 minutes, which is exactly long enough to make the card feel like an occasion.

When to Use a Greeting Card Puzzle Instead of a Regular Card

A few situations where the format clearly wins.

Mailing to kids. Grandparents, distant relatives, family friends sending birthday or holiday cards to a child. Kids who'd toss a regular card in 30 seconds will spend 10 minutes on the puzzle and remember it.

Save-the-dates and announcements. The format works for unusual gift-card-adjacent uses where you want the recipient to spend a moment with the message before reading it.

Stocking stuffers and gift-bag inserts. The card folds into the same envelope as a regular greeting card, so it tucks into a Christmas stocking or a gift bag without taking extra space.

For the broader puzzle catalog, Jigsaw Puzzles for Kids covers all formats. For travel-friendly puzzles in the same small footprint, Mini Puzzles covers 48-piece small-format puzzles, and Pouch Puzzles for Kids covers cotton-bag formats sized for backpacks and tray tables.

Themes for Different Occasions

The line covers the obvious greeting-card occasions - birthdays, Easter, holidays, just-because. The artwork is illustrator-led and tilts toward kids' tastes (animals doing celebratory things, monkeys with cake, bunnies with eggs).

Some titles are designed as standalone gifts beyond cards, where the puzzle component is the main event and the message is secondary. For animal-themed puzzles outside the greeting-card format, Animals & Nature Puzzles, Games & Books covers the wider catalog.
